I was just reminded of a conversation with a fellow RN on the mother-baby
unit I work on. She has always had problems with mastitis with all 3 of her
babies. She just recently came down with mastitis with the achiness, the
lump in her breast, etc. Someone told her to take bovine colostrum.. at $50
for a bottle..so she was desperate. She bought a bottle and took 2 capsules
that evening. When she picked up her 7 month-old to nurse him the next
morning, she noticed, no more pain, nothing! She was definitely impressed
with the results! I was amazed at her story as just the thought of cow
colostrum sounds yucky to me, and all of it's heath claims outrageous. I'm
starting to think it may not be so bad as I thought.
