Accurately or inaccurately, I tell adoptive mothers that one of the signs
their bodies are gearing up for milk production may be that they get cranky,
irritable, depressed. If I'm right, I'm right. And if I'm wrong... at
least I've given them a reason to feel better about feeling bad.
I have a co-Leader who never got a drop of milk pumping before her baby
came, tho she experienced all the changes the LC in Jack's post described.
And the first time she held and nursed her daughter... there was definite
swallowing.
