Wise Ones,
What do you think of a hospital who "claims" they are supportive of
breastfeeding and yet have a 90% epidural rate? Does anybody know what the
national average is?
I worked there recently as a Doula, out of all the moms who delivered that
day, the mom I was working with was the ONLY one who did not receive an
epidural. I was also the only Doula working that day HMMM??!! This hospital
is so interventive, several weeks ago when another Doula was working, there
was extra staff in the room (nurses) because they had never witnessed a
birth without an epidural! Scary or what? Any suggestions in educating this
hospital would be GREATLY appreciated!
