I very much agree and might add that I often use the "Y" hold for the breast
in the xcradle position. I came across it as a suggestion for latch on
difficulties (not my idea!), I can't remember where and although skeptical
at first, I find sometimes it works really well!
As for the scissor hold, I agree with all of it's limits as previously
described. I would also mention that use of the scissor hold precludes the
easy intiation of br. compression, often integral to the process of latch on.
