Well, Loni, don't give up. You can only go up. What a bunch of silly
gooses you have in your hospital. And here I thought that in California
people really did try to empower mothers. And informed consent? What about
informed consent? It's not up to the doctor to decide for the mother.
Gee I'll be that anaesthetist always always checks the insert, reads the
whole thing, before using a drug, right? What a drip. Don't confuse me
with facts, just cover me, like I don't want to be sued and I will sacrifice
the health of mothers and babies so that I don't get sued. Well, if a baby
has a bad reaction to formula, because these people told the mother she
couldn't breastfeed because of a medication which is so obviously safe
(which the American Academy of Pediatrics says is safe), tell her to sue.
Don't hold back.
Boy, it's pretty encouraging that there are people like that with attitudes
like that and nothing changes after you've spoken there. Very humbling.
