Just started again!!!!!!  This morning the baby decided he was ready to
nurse again and his "sainted" mother was there for him.  She has been
offering him the breast ever so gently for nearly 4 days as he refused and
arched.  This morning, the turnaround came and he is nursing wonderfully
again!  The doc thinks that "reflux" is the most likely answer and scheduled
a barium swallow for tomorrow....parents are canceling that!  They say he
seems to do ok if he is in the football hold (fairly upright) and in the
infant carrier after the feed.  We are all dancin' a jig!
Thanks ever-so-much for sharing your sage wisdom!  I felt as though I was
missing a beat and yet was just sure if we were gentle and patient, he would
come back.
I am away for a few days now...fall cleaning calls me.
