Yes! They were invented way before dummies!
These are just rhetorical questions, don't expect an actual answer, but
isn't it sad that bf seems to be just about food for so many mums?

Often hear this comment on the postpartum floor - the moms repeating that the
nurses have told her - "that babyis just using you as a pacifier!" I ask
them if they want their baby to bond to a piece of plastic (rubber or
silicone etc) or to mom? That usually changes their perspective and they are
okay with being the source of comfort in their little one's life.
