One of my fave mom's in LLL was in this situation.  Her ped DDS wanted
bfeeding stopped as well.  She responded by saying to him, "oh, if
breastfeeding is causing his cavities, then I bet all of those toddlers and
young children with cavities in your waiting room are still nursing?"  He
thought a minute, then decided that it probably wasn't breastfeeding that was
causing the cavities.
