Judy,

You are a brave lady to admit to your feelings about babies at conferences, on
this venue. Now that you have done it, I (who have been lurking on this issue)
have decided to add my 2 cents. I thought that my feelings are what they are
because I am no longer a mom with young children BUT, I do have lots and lots
of grandchildren who spend a great deal of time around my house. When I attend
a conference, I go to hear the speakers. I would not mind at all having babies
present IF they are taken out when they get noisy or cry. I don't think it's
fair to the baby or to the presenter or to the audience when a baby's sounds
interrupt. I, too have found myself somewhat uncomfortable at LLL conferences
where there are so many little ones in the sessions. There, I've said it - now
are all you moms with little ones still going to talk to me, or what? :)

Yaffa
