I noticed this many years ago.  You know the house is obvivously "too
clean" when  mother has an 8 day old baby!  These moms frequently have
trouble accepting help from family and friends too.  Time helps a lot and
talking to them about compromise.

Dad needs to hear this too.  Lots of time he thinks she's handling
everything just fine, he's used to perfection and meals on time.  He
doesn't realize there is a problem until mom melts down and breastfeeding
goes out the window.
