taking some sort of test is asked how she can take the test (hey, maybe its
the IBCLE) since she is doing "you know what," and she replies that its no
problem, she has it worked out with (the nanny). i am hoping she means the
nanny has relactated in order to nurse the baby while the mom is gone.

Carol,
When I sat the exam 9 years ago I went to Boston (from California!) so that
my SIL - the only person I trusted to watch my never-been-babysat 7 month
old. We got to the site early and I nursed Jeanne then she and Aunt Jane
went off for an adventure in the stroller. We met again for lunch and they
had another adventure as I filled out endless boxes in the exam.
Incidentally, the toughest part of the exam was BEING one of the test
questions. It was a slide of yours truly tandem breastfeeding baby Jeanne
and her 4 yr old brother, Rick. The question was: "What's wrong with this?"
There was no other LLLL in the cohort (all at the LLLI Conference!) and the
others sitting the exam gasped and murmured unfriendly things. It was not
exciting. Had so much energy on that it was tough to focus on the rest of
the exam though! Can hardly wait to sit it again next year and see what fun
is in store then! Still get that awful feeling in the pit of my stomach just
recalling it!
Just reminiscing...
