Good Day Wise Ones,
The Associated Press article regarding the rise of cesareans was a good one
indeed. Social inductions and impatient doctors certainly play a role too,
as well as increased interventions and lack of continuous labor support.
The article did not mention the effect of Doulas during labor, the research
and there has been plenty..indicates that Doulas actually decrease cesareans
50%. As a Doula myself, it boggles my mind how many Dr's choose to ignore
this research. If we were a pill EVERY pregnant mom would get one!
