This sounds like classic nipple confusion! Are you sure the baby wasn't
given any artificial nipples since birth?

I would eliminate any artificial nipples, cupfeed the baby, keep pumping
q2h and it should resolve fairly quickly.

BTW, was the baby circumcised right before the aversion? Some babies are so
traumatized by the procedure that they won't even nurse. If this is the
case mom will have to regain his trust.
