Our Seattle area is airing an Enfamil radio spot on a free hospital bag,
that mom's just have to ask for if it's not readily offered, that shows
the proper SIDS baby sleep positioning instructions.

One hospital locally, St. Peter, declined the promotion because they
promote breastfeeding and the other one, Capital Medical Center takes
the free bags. One bag is for contains formula and the other bag has
breastfeeding material and a free manual breast pump.

(But they both say Enfamil, which is blatant advertising of artificial
milk.)

Does anyone know if Enfamil pays the hospitals to put the bags in? In
supermarkets companies must pay for their stocking area when a new
product is introduced. Positioning enhances their profitability.

I wondered about the revenue aspects of these kinds of hospital
promotions.
