Hi Loni, I too was going to E-mail you directly, but feel this is a really
important issue. I have experience on both sides of the fence, as a nurse
manager or a mother-baby unit and as a lactation consultant. Until a few
years ago, Docs got little to nothing about infant nutrition and most are
relying on old info or what has worked for them before. I suggest you start
attending every OB,Ped medical staff meeting. Address one issue at a time and
start with evidence based documentation in their own medical journals. The
achieves have a bunch especially from AAP. You might have to take some flack
in the beginning and work on certain individuals on a 1-1 basis. Build a
trust relationship. "Build it and they will come"
