I really like this line of discussion, let's keep it open!
We had this as a question at our LLL Group -- the responses were
tremendous. One I really liked was "during a pap test" -- there's a way
to educate your HCP!
I get my warmest reception when I breastfeed -- as I have all of mine --
at book launchings, art galleries and openings; people really like the
idea of having babies exposed to art, and a nursing baby doesn't
interrupt the poetry reading. I had a tender moment nursing Naomi during
a poetry reading when she was two months old. Daddy had been walking her
around for the first half hour, but caught me between poems; I just
adjusted my position a bit on the (uncomfortable stool). Oh -- didn't
mention. I was doing the reading.
Jo-Anne, at a nostalgic moment. Nine months later, she doesn't disappear
into the sling quite the same way, but she still lives poetry.
