I'm not sure what you are asking for here.....is it words to
comfort/acknowledge efforts to breastfeed that did not work out? If it is,
I sometimes use a line from an Eastwood movie....'A man's (or woman) got to
know his limitations.' Please tell me f this comment is offensive; I use it
in the spirit of acknowledging that efforts were made and it is ok to have
limits,
also to elicit a little humor and 'lighten up'. I sometimes say that
support/help/information may not have been available when she needed it; I
often say this in response to a grandmother visitor/support person for whom
breastfeeding did not work out.
I want to support any woman's parenting/love for their child no matter the
feeding method that was chosen.
