also is a good reference for anesthesia. I can't give the exact page, but I
do know that she states as soon as mom is awake and able to hold the baby,
in reference to breastfeeding after a general anesthesia.
LLL's Breastfeeding Answer Book, the reference cited is (Spigset, 1994)
which states the same as above, as soon as mom is awake and able to hold the
baby.
