I've stayed quiet (at least on this topic) regarding the cross cradle partly
because I have used it successfully, although not terribly often because
moms will sometimes get sloppy with it and have the problems described
earlier. However, when it comes to positioning, I will try anything that
works including over the shoulder (is that the New Zealand position, if I'm
recalling correctly?). Anyway, the mention of bf pillows triggered this
post. I've recently "discovered" another bf pillow that works particularly
well where the thinner ones (like My Breast Friend and the IMNSHO very
inadequate Boppy) don't work. It is called Bosom Buddy and is produced by a
mom at home who sews in her "spare" time (she has twin 6 mo olds and a 3
year old so don't ask ME where she gets the time or energy). It is much
easier to use for cross cradle, football, and twin positioning. If anyone
wants info on this company, email me privately and I'll provided it--(their
email is [log in to unmask]). Again, I have no commercial interest in this
company.
