I received a free introductory copy of this journal today. Page three is
a full page ad for Playtex Nurser and page four is a full page ad for
Walmart formula. The middle fold out page is a full two pages about the
formulas available at Walmart and how they compare to other brands. Then
to top it all off, on pages 516- 520 there is an article entitled
"Assisting Families in Making Appropriate Feeding Choices: Cow's Milk
Protein Allergy versus Lactose Intolerance." The article begins with
"Though most infants tolerate breast feedigs or formula feedings without
difficulty...." Need I say more?

I am working on a letter to the Journal's editor. Please!!!! If you can
access this journal do so and let me know what you think I should say. I
find this an embarrassment to the profession of Pediatric Nursing. Not
to mention the damage it can do to the profession, where many Pediatric
Nurses may not even realize why these things would be unethical and
inappropriate for a journal that purports to support children's health.
