BTW-if the surgeon was able to remove all the abcess tissue-it is unlikely
that it will
recur. The tissue should come out like a little sac-which was previously
filled with the
fluid which appeared obviously in the ultrasound exam. If it did not come
out all in one
piece, he may have been able to remove it piece by piece. I sure hope so.

I expect a decrease in milk production on the affected side-and that's okay.
The abcess
destroyed the ductal tissue surrounding it, however, future pregnancies will
bring with
them new proliferation of ductal tissue. She should be able to bf to her
goal and be able
to nurse future infants to her goal as well.
