On the thread of misdiagnosed thrush; what if the candida infection is
something else and it is teated with gentian violet? What are the
ramifications of using this or for that matter diflucan or even nystatin when
the culprit is not yeast.  Innapropriate usage of ABX and the possible
problems there has been alluded to in the past; but I don't recall if there
is a problem with anti-fungals creating issues of reduced resistance or
decline in immune response should they be used when not necessary or
innapropriate or if misdiagnosed.  Any comments?  TIA
