Dear Ann, what you said reflects the "never say never" principle.
Everything is probably useful in one situation or another (or they wouldn't
have been dreamed up).  The problem is when a device or practice is given
to ALL.  I believe in the "if it works, use it" principle.  We need to  be
open and flexible and not throw the baby out with the bath water! I guess
what I'm saying that with the infinite variety of mothers and babies and
circumstances, there are no absolutes.
