I recall using this occassionally when I was in private practice Pediatrics
for a baby I was pretty sure was having pain from abdominal cramping, as it
is an anti-spasmodic, and it often seemed to help. I would imagine Dr. Hale
is referring to the fact that it should NOT be used for "garden variety"
colic, or fussiness without an apparent cause.
