I've been working with a mom with breastfeeding who was readmitted to the ICU
with
a subarachnoid bleed (brain hemorrhage) at about 2 weeks postpartum.
Needless to say it's been a rough go! She pumped and dumped for awhile due
to meds (and all this with weakness to one side of her body), and then was
told not to pump due to needing to regain her health, stamina, etc. The
sweet news is that 5 women in her newly formed new moms support group have
offered to pump and donate milk to her. So,
my question is how to proceed - any precautions? any concerns? I'm quite
certain these are all new friends met in a birthing class. Thanks ahead for
any advice or suggestions! You can email me privately if you wish.
