Dear Friends:

Just a little update on how the National Registry for Lactation Research is going.
Over the weekend (in just 3 days) we had more than 307 breastfeeding mothers register
from all over the world. I anticipate in a few days, we will have more patients
available for research in certain categories (such as Zoloft, Paxil, PCOS, etc) than
is published in the world's literature.

This is really going to work and I wish to thank all of you who have sent someone to
register. Presently, the worlds literature on Zoloft contains about 15 mothers that
have been studied. At present in this registry, are 27 new cases available for study
(and in only 3 days). This is simply wonderful.

We also have a number of women with polycystic ovarian syndrome registered and
numerous other syndromes.

So please continue to get the word out. Place this webaddress on your own websites,
and lets keep getting patient enrollment. This little registration system may supply
a 'motherload' of research subjects and eventually help us all when counseling
breastfeeding mothers.

Thanks

Tom Hale, Ph.D.
