So sorry to hear that. I am a bit behind with reading Lactnet, but
wanted to add that I was under the impression that rabbits are truly
'lactose-intolerant', so that human milk or infant formula is
unsuitable for them. I think I heard this when one of the formula
companies was using rabbits bottle-feeding on their can labels, and
someone in a lecture (Peter Hartmann? can't remember) said how
inappropriate this would be as the high amount of lactose would kill
the baby rabbits! I hope I am remembering this correctly - otherwise
exposing my mental fallibility to thousands!! ;-)
