It's been a while since I've posted, so I'll reintroduce myself. Leslie
Ward, LLL Leader, husband in the US Army and 4/5 children (25, 22, 14 & 12;
5th died shortly after birth) and a new (of course breastfed) grandson. I've
been reading the analogies with interest, thinking what creative people you
are, when I realized that I had used one last year (and forgotten completely
about it).
I compared breastfeeding to using sunscreen: It's proven in scientific
research to help, it doesn't hurt (even if you don't end up needing it) and
it can protect you and/or baby from lifelong problems.
