OK, I'll jump on this bandwagon. I, too, nursed my first born in the
dentist's chair while getting a root canal--he was one week old.
My favorite, though, was during a briefing by the CINCPAC commander and his
staff in Honolulu. Elliott was three months old, I was on my way to work at
our Embassy in the Marshall Islands. I had thought I could leave him with
the hotel babysitting service while I had my briefings, but when the time
came, I couldn't do it.
The Admiral and his staff were a little flustered at first, but ended up
being very impressed that I could follow their technical briefings, ask
questions, and nurse a baby all at the same time! Just goes to show we need
more women Admirals!
