re Homemade SNS's
I agree feeding tubes are too firm. We use a softer tubing which we buy in
a large roll which is soft and hasn't created any problems.[I don't have
details of source with me at home] Regarding difficulty for mothers using
the line - after explanation of benefits to their situation anddd providing
the mother wishes to try the procedure and with trial while LC is present
and then close follow support many Mums / babies do very well.
Benefits
- longer more enthusiastic stimulation by the baby increases mums
supply
-Hypotonic feeders don't tire before satisfied
-Reduces nipple trauma by comfort suckers.
-maximizes breast emptying; hence increases supply etc.
