Interesting thought, but the increase in BF has been gradual over a long
period of time and unfortunately in US, it is not usually exclusive. The
Back to Sleep campaign and changes in positioning infants to sleep was
abrupt in UK and US and the corresponding decrease in SIDS is a very
noticeable blip on the statistical curve. Now a confounding fact is that
babies are generally BF in Japan AND sleep on their backs AND with their
moms, they've always had lower SIDS rate. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
