Spoke to this mom today. Says here pediatrician says "there is nothing wrong
with his tongue." Mom did say she noticed him sticking out his tongue the
last few days. She seems more concerned about "him getting cut" and being in
pain than what is happening to her nipples. She says she will continue
pumping and bottle feeding breast milk. I did give them some ideas for
getting him to extend the tongue over the lower gum line and also gave some
different bottle nipples to try.  Bottles would not be my first choice, but
hey, if you can't get them to see it totally your way, then try to see it
their way and help them try to do better.
