Jenny Joseph wrote a poem "Warning." It begins "when I am an old woman I
shall wear purple. with a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me."
She goes on to say all the things we can do when we are older to "make up
for the sobriety of my youth." Then she says "But maybe I ought to
practise a little now? So people who know me are not too shocked and
surprised when suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple." It's a zealot
thing, when we get old we are really going to rabble rouse :-) even more
than we do now :-)
So we are just warning the world in our purple shirts! Watch out, here we
coming. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
