Galactoceles typically don't grow like this.  They are sterile, walled off,
milk-filled cysts.  Abscesses are pus filled.  They ripen and ultimately
burst as do boils.  Hopefully, if undrained and untreated, they can rise,
burst at the skin surface and drain off.  Internal rupture can create
sepsis, considerable permanent damage to the breast, and put the mother's
life at risk.  My husband's grandmother almost died in the era before
incision and drainage and antibiotics of a deep breast abscess.  She
permanently lost the ability to lactate in that breast although she had one
or two more children.  She lay in bed near death for 3 months.  Another
possibility in this mom's situation is that when the doctor aspirated, he
introduced bacteria and now she has cellulitis.  I would seek a second
medical opinion with a breast surgeon.
