Regarding the position at Kirsten's hospital - I am quite certain, knowing
Kirsten, that the RN requisite is NOT hers, but the hospital's. I was turned
down for a similar position bc of no RN. Part of job description includes
newborn evals at "Great Starts" program for which a nurse practitioner is
perhaps more well suited. There are some very talented IBCLC's in this
hospital's system, but I only know of only one pt time IBCLC that was not an
RN that has been hired - correct me if I'm wrong. Best of luck finding
somebody wonderful to work with!
Sincerely,
Gretchen Andrews, BA, IBCLC
private practice, Redlands, So CA USA
