I have a client who has breastpumped for 4 mths with a hospital grade
electric breast pump who for several months apparently has consistently
blocked ducts in the upper outer quadrants of both of her extremely
large breasts. This wonderful lady has many lactation consultant friends
so has not been bereft of information. Warmth, massage, lethicin, a diet
reduced to chicken & rice wafers!!! She uses very large breast shields
also. I asked her to pump and the only observation was perhaps postional
so she tried side lying and for one day only they cleared. I checked her
pump out under manufacturers specifications. She has tried several hosp
grade pumps. The only other train of thought was a larger shield again
than the one she is using.? any suggestions would be welcome. My first
