Oh thank you so much for sharing this story. I had mentioned to the mom
tonight how the advice for mothers who are breastfeeding and want to
introduce a bottle to a reluctant baby is always "just keep trying, when
the baby gets hungry enough, he'll take it." But tough-love for a baby who
won't take the breast is almost unheard of. She asked me if I
"recommended" she just try to go cold turkey, and I told her that I try
not to recommend anything ;) but I will definitely share this story with
her. I think that she may be able to do this. I know in my heart that if
this were my baby I would do this in a heartbeat when all else had failed.
