A friend of mine is in need of all of your experience and knowledge. Her baby is ~3 months old and will not eat without a fight when her mom is at work. The most they can get into the baby during this time is 3-4 oz. They have tried cup, bottle, syringe and finger feeding. Bringing the baby to mom at work will not work, and Mom has to work. She is considering stopping breastfeeding to just make the baby take a bottle and not keep going back and forth. The baby's weight gain is less than desirable (maybe 2-4 oz/week). My friend works three 12 hour shifts per week, never two in a row. After she works they nurse almost the next 24 hours cont. which is making my friend exhausted. The next day is better and then she is back to work again and it starts over. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
