This month I have had three babies that had appropriate stools in the
hospital but then stopped for several days.
None of these babies appeared jaundice, all gained weight, all nursed well,
put on at least 1oz with test weights and seemed healthy. Rectal stimulation
produced little results.
None of their doctors were concerned but I was.
Are there times when healthy newborns don't stool for a few days at the end
of the first week?
