Hi all, Is anyone out there as tired of this ubiquitous ductal yeast
problem/question as I am!!??
I hate so, not feeling just a little more sure of what I'm suggesting....
I have a Mom about 6 wks pp who has been treating with diflucan; 200mg-first
dose, 100mg/day since, for the last 13 days with absolutely no change in the
deep, breast pain. My initial suggestion was for the 200mgX1 then 100mg bid
but her obstetrician decided on the above after consulting with another LC-
would rather treat "conservatively".
My question is how likely is another week of treatment (which is what I
suggested, along with another loading dose) to effect this problem? Or should
I move right over to the i......conazole
suggestion. The baby is also receiving diflucan for persistent thrush (s/p
nystatin), Mom to try gentian violet to herself and baby today.
Baby is thriving, or Mom would have "quit long ago!" she says.
Thanks so much to all for sharing your time and ideas!
