Hello, everyone!
I have been "lurking" for quite a while, just reading and learning from
every tid-bit of info here on Lactnet :-)
Now that I finally have a question worthy of posting (haha), I thought I
might get some ideas from you;
I am currently a LLLL and LVN nursing student. This summer is when we will
be covering the OB/Peds rotations and lecture portions of the program, and I
may be giving a presentation to our class regarding breastfeeding. My
class-mates are all LVN students, with many of them planning on transferring
into the RN program at the end of the year.
I suspect I will only have an hour or so to home-in on the important
aspects; not long enough, I know! But I would like to hear what any of
you may think are the most important points I should cover, with the
consideration that these are nursing students about to "invade" maternity
wards and nurseries!
I will be reading Lactnet everyday, so feel free to post ideas or email me
privately.
Thanks so much! Lactnet has been such a wonderful learning tool to me :-)
Warmly,
Cherie Sintes
MOM, Nursing Student, LLLL
