I haven't deen this stringy milk in humans myself, but I have a sheep with a
severe chronic mastitis which had already started before the lambs were born.
(She has a chronic ''black udder'' and shouldn't have conceived at all, but
that's another story.) The fluid that comes out on milking is like whey and
curd. I did not measure, but estimate that it is 90% whey and 10% or even less
curd. The strings of curd vary from a few milimeters to 10centimeters length and
are between 1/2 and 2mm in width. The thicker ones cause her pain as they pass
through the nipple pore.
