I now NEVER answer to the list - for fear of criticism or being considered
"inadequate" or "unprofessional". I write directly to the writer giving
permission to share my note with the mom.
Is ANYONE that expert that they don't have situations they haven't been
able to solve? I still think of the mom whose babies (2 of them 2 years
apart) that clamped so hard - I tried everything, my own thoughts first,
then those suggested in Lactnet after I posted the problem and what I had
tried so far. If I shared that situation now, would I have gotten the
support I got then, or criticism for the things I had tried?
Now, I may post a comment, and even then I try to write it, save it,
re-read it, and mostly don't send it - unless it's like today - I'm tired,
the letter "hit me in the heart" and I send it without sleeping on it!
