First, mom can be checked (stool sample) if no pinworms, no tx! Mom, if
negative, can practice scrupulous hand washing so as not to get infected
from oldest child. Second, if mom must take med Hale says it is poorly
absorbed orally and high protein binding, so probably not much in milk.
One case report of mom's milk drying up after use of Vermox.
Maybe a herbal expert can tell us a "home remedy" for pin worms that
doesn't involve this particular med.
Please forgive me, but everyone working in Lactation needs access to a copy
of Hale (Blatant advertisement :-) That includes the doc who is ordering
mom to pump and dump during treatment! He keeps a PDR in the office
doesn't he? Well IMNSHO Hale is standard office resource too. Sincerely,
