I have no idea about the matzo's specifically, but this relates to a
conversation I had recently.  Our local cranio-sacral therapist, who also
studies Chinese medicine and takes regular trips to China, came to our
hospital and did an information session on Qi Gong for moms.  One of the moms
there asked me about her older baby who was going several days between bowel
movements, and I gave the mother my standard speech about how normal this
was.  The CST was absolutely amazed by my explanation; it didn't sound at ALL
normal to her, but I assured her this happens all the time.  Well, she called
her pediatrician friend in China to see what he thought about this, and he
also said it is not normal, that babies in China continue to have frequent
bowel movements.  He attributed it to our western diet (meaning mother's
diet) that is high in refined flours and sugars.

What do you all think?  Does infrequent stooling in babies not happen if
mother's diet is high in whole grains and fruits and vegetables?  I also
wondered if our commonly high dairy intake might contribute to this.  Hmmm. .
.  perhaps another thing I thought was "normal" really isn't.
