Hi, my name is Siobhan Williams. I'm very keen to become a lactation
consultant. I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I have a little girl
off 27 months whom I am still breastfeeding. I'm very involved in the La
Leche League although I have never become a member due to finacial reasons.
I have been hosting the La Leche League meeting at my house for the last year
and a half. Unfortunately, as much as I love PE we do not have as much
support from moms as in other parts of the world. We only have 3 leaders nad
two meetings a month, One on a Saturday and the other on a Tuesday. I'm
getting irritated just sitting around and hosting meetings. I want to get
out there. There is not much money in PE but I do think the need for a
lactation consultant is important. I would offer my services to anyone at a
very low cost. I have given a talk on breastfeeding as well. According to
my League leaders becoming a consultant is very hard work and it does cost.
We are having a League Conference here this year whichI'm really looking
forward to. I would appreciate any information or advice you can give me.

Many Thanks

Siobhan
