Jackie, Several years ago, I had heart palpitations and leg cramps, and found
out I was severely hypothyroid. Have your client get tested soon. It's not
unusual to have the thyroid burn out a little after pregnancy.
Did her dr. do a blood calcium level? Is she on a good calcium supplement?
(not Tums or dolomite, please) You know that telling a patient to stop
breastfeeding is a typical medical reflex, since the doctors rarely know much
about breastfeeding. (I know, I'm preaching to the choir).
She needs her potassium checked also, just to make sure. Is her milk supply
good? Good luck,,and let us know what happens. Shirley in very warm Phoenix.
