This drug is not contraindicated during breastfeeding. This information is
available in Hale. However, the mother has the right to take the *advice*,
not commandment of the doctor and do what she feels is best for her and her
baby. Which, if we look at the risks of formula feeding, is to continue
breastfeeding.
This is an example of poor medical management, in my opinion. If this was a
sort of abscess, then the lancing of the abscess would be enough to cure it.
No need for antibiotics.
Another example of sacrificing breastfeeding on the altar of our ignorance.
I *hate* the expression "pump and dump".
