No it's not. I totally agree with you. This bill is a good start but it
will be struck down as discriminatory. The issue is not breastfeeding it
is childcare. I know moms who went on vacation for a week without their 12
month olds and came back still pumping and nursing (I realize that is a bit
odd but I do know some who have) and my bottlefed first child would be
harder to leave than my nursing second one. I would be a very peeved
mother were I in California. FTR I personally know one of the women who
spearheaded this and she agrees fully the issue is not breastfeeding but
she's trying desperately to avoid further harassment by the jury pool so
she's going with what she's got.
