Page 195-196 of Hale 1999 (8th edition) states that dextroamphetamine
(trade name dexedrine, amphetamine, oxydess) is contraindicated by the AAP
for use in breastfeeding mothers. Hale states "Amphetamines are
concentrated in breastmilk." The milk/plasma ratio is 2.8 to 7.5.
Half-life is 6-8 hours. Peak is 1-2 hours. Molecular weight is 368.
Protein binding is 16-20%. Oral bioavailability is Complete.
